Here are some answer to questions that you might have.

Q: Why should I join this service over any others?
A: This service is for those who think size is important in their enjoyment of relationships. Q: Hey, I placed an ad, but I can't respond to other people's ads.
A: Yes, that's right. Placing a free ad does not allow you to respond to ads. But placing a free ad does allow members of Big Date to respond to you. Just make sure you associate your ad with a valid email address you monitor regularly so you don't miss out on any potential responses.

Q: Hey, I joined but I can't find the page with the inbox for people responding to me.
A: Yes, that's right. Unlike other personals websites, Big Date uses the email address you sign up with for responses, similar to Craigslist. All responses to your ads will go to that email address. Likewise, if you send someone a response to their ad, they will receive an email from this website with the 'Reply-To' email field set to your email address. So if they respond to your response, all further correspondence occurs off of the Big Date system.

A nice consequence of this system is that even if someone sends a reponse to your ad, they still don't know your real email address. Only when you respond to their response does someone else get your real email address. Up to that point, your email address is only known by the big-date.com email system. Additionally, spammers can't harvest your email address from this site either for that reason.

Q: How long is the membership good for?
A: Check on our Join page and it will always tell you how long the membership is good for, depending upon what length of time you purchase. Standard membership is $19.95 for 2 months.

Q: How do I know the people on the service are for real and safe?
A: We do not pre-screen people. We feel that, as an adult, you are responsible for checking these people out and being sensible about your own safety. This is the case with any personals' service. Just use good common sense as you would in any case of meeting new people. Having said that, we have many letters from people who have had great meetings. We even have had 2 letters from people, who met through Big Date, who are getting married.

Q: Do I have to pay by credit card to join?
A: No. Big Date's third party billing system accepts payment by online check and by phone (900 number). We are NOT a subscription service. We bill you once, and only once. You can extend or renew your membership at any time, but you must visit our third party billing system and complete another transaction.

Q: Will Big Date appear on my credit card statement?
A: No. Nothing indicating you were at Big Date will appear on your statement. Check the Join page to see what will appear on your credit card statement.

Q: Are there pictures inside with the ads?
A: There are many pictures inside of members who have provided us with one, sometimes multiple pictures (up to 5 per member). You may, of course, ask other pictures to be sent by someone you are corresponding with.

Q: Why are the pictures so small?
A: To save on bandwidth costs for the nonmembers area. It's just a teaser image. In the member's area, all pictures are full size.

Q: Are there only Americans here?
A: No. There are British, Canadians, Australians, Europeans, Indians, Chinese... Big Date is Global!

Q: I see a lot of ads here from people far away from me, don't you have a geographical search function to narrow down the list?
A: Yes, we do, for paying and nonpaying members. The way it works is, when you fil out your free ad, there is a section in which you indicate your location (or 2, or even 3 locations). We use that location/ those locations to find people who are near you (you get choose different distances).

Q: I'm gay, not straight. Do you have ads for me?
A: Certainly. We also have bi ads, couple ads, and group ads.
